She doesnt need a monitor. This will be a general use computer she will play some games, surf the net, stuff like that. She will not be OCing it or anything like that. What suggestions do you guys have?

2500+ retail, 92 bucks
512 PC2700, 70
biostar nforce2, 53
liteon DVD/CDRW, 49
case w/PSU (you choose), about 75
80gb 8mb WD, 74
9600pro, 150
floppy 10
That leaves 20-30 for misc stuff....or you could upgrade to a DVD burner, or a DVD drive and a CDRW for 2 drives.

Since she's not a hard-core gamer, wouldn't it be better to opt for a less expensive video card and use the surplus for ... oh, I don't know ... software? :D

Well ... I guess ... she could provide you with a service ... she could be your off-site disaster recovery archive for all your software. ;) Of course, that service usually includes verifying the viability of the backups ... :p
