Little heat Probes

Are the little heat probes that come with bay bus or Digidoc systems water proof?

What im asking is if I could slip the end of one of these sensors under the connection of a brab and a hose to get water temp.

Is this possible?

They are as far as I'm aware. I read at Hardocp a couple months ago that their first ones were not ?

I'd check with them by emailing em just to make sure

Do you have one? I would assume so, because you're asking. Just stick it in a glass of water and see what happens. As for slipping it between a hose barb and the tubing, I wouldn't do that, because it could let water through.
