Abit IC7 and 2.6 800fsb ?????

I just put this Abit IC7 and 2.6 chip together,not much of a vid card though. I will post a WCPUID below to show the OC. One question is about the mobo .The IC7 does`nt have a ethernet lan.The IC7G does .But this new IC7 had a peice of thick tape over the sockett for the ethernet plug. I took it off and you can plug a modem cable in it but it doesnt work.Is there a place to enable this ethernet sockett ? Or is there something unhooked or needs soldered to make it work ??? Thanks

That socket is useless, it has no hardware to enable the port.

Thanks ,I guess it is easier to make one mobo for the IC7 and IC7G and just disable the sockett. Thanks again.
