default pic viewer


how do i get XP pro to not use the MS pic viewer? i want it to use ACDSee classic and even if i set it to do so in explorer it still uses the default picture viewer.

Find a file type that you wish to associate with a different program like .jpg, right click the file and select Open With-->Choose Program ('ACDSee Classic' in your case). Select the program you wish to use to open these files and make sure the "Always use this program....." option is checked. Select 'Open', and it should associate all of the files of this type with that program.

Or change the association manually...Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types-->[File in question] | Advanced | Application used to perform action.
