Why is UT so sensitive to OC'ing?

I'm running a 700E@945-1.80v on a CUV4X, and everything runs stable including UT. When I run the FSB at 140 and 1.85v, everything still runs stable except for UT...it won't even start much less run at this speed. Any suggestions? TIA... Bob

i bought UT specifically because it is so processer/vid card intensive. it is a truer stability test than anything else i have found.... and more fun too

Hehe.....I use it as a stability tester too. UT is VERY processor oriented as opposed to quake 3 wich uses the rest of the system more. I have seen tests where people use UT to compare processing power...well pretty much.

This pig runs stable as a rock, but if I want to play any direct3d games, like UT,N.F.S.4, I have to reboot first...otherwise it will crash at the splash screen.
Unreal gold does as well..If I leave the comp idle for any length of time, I have to reboot before playing games...and have played games for hours...and never get kiked out to the desktop, like I would with my 600E @ 956...so either it's the game, the direct x implementation,or who knows, could be this shoty TNT2 M64 vid card, that don't overclock for nuttin.
BTW, am looking for a deal on a creative, or herculese tnt2 ultra
I forgot to say, to try rebooting just before trying a game, and see if it hoses then
