In reply to outhouse: I think he wants to stop people on his computers from going to porn sites on his computer, not make it so they can't tell he did.

the answer is.... there is nothing that doesnt filter out other good sites. for example, most filters filter out Amnesty international, GLAAD's site, and other sites promoting tolerance, as these filters are usually made by good-ole boy Right-wing christians. Also gone are medical info sites, agriculture sites(because of the poultry :p),etc.

Yes there is, but then it dosen't filter out all the bad stuff :D

One solution is to use a filter that looks a the domain name and filters based on "keyword" (eg. if your keyword was 'BLAH', any site such as www.someblahstuff.com would be filtered out). There's a low chance of it stopping OK stuff, but it's highly ineffective against sites unless you put in dozens of domain keywords. Other solutions stop more of the bad, but also end up blocking quite a bit of what you don't want blocked.

Invent a better mousetrap?? Why not invent a better content filter!!
