what bios is good for this mobo? should i download the latest from asus's website? btw, how do i check what bios and version i am on?

cpuz will identify it within windows
Contrary to everyones belief bios upgrades are merely additional items and rarely fixes. The best bios in theory is the up to date one.
Slide that cd for your mobo in the opti drive and find your tools for updating or just go to ASUS and get it there
