Fan adapter needed ?

Well, i have a Sk6+ and a TT Smartfan II, but I don't have a fan adaptor, and since the sk6+ only usues 60mm fans I have it in a diamond shape held onto the heatsink (see juans SK6 mod on the overclockers page).

Will using a 60-80mm fan adapter provide better Cooling or is it really not worth the hassle ?

For $8.00 Its worth a try.You won't know if you don't do it.It will be cheaper than buying a diff.HS. Test it out. Then you will know the answer.What are your temps now,including ambient(room) temp. and case temp?? THE FANMAN

I'd say get it also, you can't have enough air on your cpu.

I've already got the 80mm fan mounted on my sk6, i was just wondering if the adapter would be of any extra help when cooling it ? Heh, I wish those things were $8 over there... they're like $15

But yeah, cheers for the help, I guess I coudl get one and see if it helps.

At the moment temps are:
--Side Panel on--
Idle : 48c
Load : 52c

--Side Panel off--
Idle -- 42c
Load -- 48c
