2nd Monitor stuck in 47hz interlaced

I just tried using a secondary monitor for the extended desktop but XP keeps installing the wrong driver for the 2nd monitor and my refresh rate is locked at 47hz interlaced. I just want the regular plug and play drivers but it auto installs these wrong drivers every time saying that they are right. Im using an old 15 inch monitor with a 9600 pro aiw.
