i just reformatted my girlfriends comp.
and was playing with the bios on her
biostar M7VIW
and i found that i could change fsb only
her puter has a 2000+ and i slowly took the fsb up to
162 which is 2.01 ghz thats with stock voltage
and with a Ttake volcano 11 it's at 47c load
runs stable. i was impresed with that at stock voltage,
good or not???

it is a tbred b chip
i can't change the cpu voltage, bios dosn't have that option.

but how much higher do you think i can go with stock voltage?
the only option it has for O/C is fsb and memory timings

i haven't tried to go any higher do you think i could get higher than , or atleast 166 fsb

But your mobo jumpers have the voltage change option, just watch those temps and be reasonable, she won't be able to tell 50-100 MHz up or down.

ok i admit i'm sort of a noob so, what do you mean ?
do i have a jumper that will enable me to change voltage in bios

the only jumper i can find is a case oper
options are
normal (default)
and case open
i have no idea what case open is

If you need to, you can wire mod the CPU for higher voltages.

BTW, My 2000+ T-bred B will do 2.2 - 2.3ghz on stock voltages on air. I'm currently running at 2ghz @ 1.5v which is .15v below stock. The temps are so high in my sig because I turn the fans down so they are inaudible.

i got this one to 2.2 but that high i get rendom restarts,
she's happy with the 2gig i'll leave it there
