I'm relatively new to O/C'n so please bear with me.
I am running a P4 2.8C with stock cooling on a GA-8IPE1000 (Bios F8) and I can't get my sys clock over 214. At 215 it either won't post or I get a screen FULL of colorful little symbols. I tried to up the Vcore only one notch (as it was not likely the case), nothing. So I upped the DIMM V +.1, notta.
Can anyone offer advise as to what I'm doing wrong here? I know this CPU and board can do better.
The beeps I get are power related according to the bios diagnostic portion of my mobo manual. So I checked voltages with 2 different programs, one being the Giga Easytune4 and they appeared within tolerences. My AGP/PCI channels are locked, and my core temps are stable. WTF? I have great memory (2X512 Elixir PC3200) so I dont think it's that. Please help!
