im getting a lian li case pretty soon and i was thinking about something that would seem like it would be really cool to do.
a bit showy or flashy but i might try it.
use a cdrom mechanism to have a panel the slides to open up a top exhaust area. when the door is open the 120mm fan kicks on by means of a metal contact switch. if you got a 120mm fan set it on a open cdrom tray and look at the size. 120mm perfect fit.
is that sounding too bling bling?

sounds kinda cool if you can pull it off, keep us posted

Sounds interesting, maybe goofy. Have to see it.

Fan start on door open? Hmm..
when i say door open that would actually be the cdrom door is closed.
that part is very easy, the switch to complete the circuit when the door closes turning the fan on.
the hardest part will be making thew tracks and aligning the things the way i want it to work.
but it does sound like it would be fairly simple.
is there any other ideas of why i should have a door that opens?
i filter change door or something?
