Nice, stable board, but it has no overclocking features. I have seen people overclock by doing wire mods to the cpu sockets (for unlocked CPU's) and by software in order to change the FSB from windows.

As Arkaine said, the Tyan 2460 is a solid board, but not particularly overclockable and not as tweakable as most duals.

Well it's gone now anyway, xing_kui was the winner. But the 2460 was limited in several ways and you'd be better off with a different board. It's not overclockable, and isn't really supposed to be able to handle the faster MP CPUs. The ATX power connector can burn up if you put in higher powered CPUs such as MP2400s.

if you dont plan on overlcocking that is a nice setup, if you feel comfortable go the k7d-l and the dual 1700+ l5 mod and oced, it will be chaper and just as fast probably.

The K7D is the board to get, if you want to go with an AMD dually. As for processors, just get the best you can afford. Almost every AMD CPU is now multiplier locked, so the golden days of overclocking may be over, but there may be some hope with Athlon Mobile XP's.
