Is PFC really worth it?

I decided to go with a power supply with PFC (Power Factor Correction) on it. Information I've seen on it gives the idea that its a good thing to have since it protects your hardware from getting fried. Just wondering what you guys think on the subject. :)
 
haha same here, i like the PSU i got anyway, its awesome. 480w "Tru" power and 550w total. the 12v rail stays @ 12.05-12.15 under heavy, heavy usage. impressive. Oh well, I need a new PSU for my media/backup system anyway, I'll try an Antec Tru-something and compare :)
