I'm new with using fan controllers, so if this sounds very basic forgive me. ;) I've been using this X-Superalien case for a while, but I've never made use of its front fan controllers because I'm not sure how. It seems they each have two ends: a 12v one and a 7v one. I'm just curious as to how they're supposed to connect, not to mention why they seem so very short. Thanks in advance. :D

One hooks up to your power supply and the others hook up to the fans.

Please clarify a bit.

Also, is it OK to have multiple fans on one controller?

This may be helpful. I would wire the 3 intake fans to one channel.
And the 3 exhaust to another channel. THE FANMAN:cool:

****FROM THE ASPIRE WEBSITE FAQ***********
Fans & Fan Controllers: (black-and-yellow cables)
There are 3 sets of cables-2 INPUT connectors and 1 OUTPUT connector.
1.You need to hook the 2 INPUT connectors(male) to the Power Supply OUTPUT
connectors(Female).
2.Then, hook the OUTPUT connector to Window Fan's INPUT connector. Link all 4 fans, from
the window fan to two back fans and then to top panel fan.

That would be helpful if that actually worked. The thing is, if I connect the PSU to the fans at all, there's no input connector left to put the output connector on; and if I put the input connector on, there's no possible way to put the PSU connector on. How precisely do I get around this?

it is possible to hook all of those fans up to the fan controllers exactly how the faq states it

it was hard the first time i did it, but i had that exact same case

you hook up a single 4 pin connector from the powersource to the connector labeled dc input

you then take a fan and hooked it up to one of the longer connectors labeled output, that is a voltage controlled output

once you hook one up, you take that fan connectors output...you know how each one has an input and output on its line...well you take the fans input and hook it to the connector output, then take its male and hook it to another fans female, then that fans male to another fans female...

on and on

its possible...trust me...mess around with it. Hook up the psu but disconnect your HD so it doesn't boot, and keep plugging things in to different places and turning the power on and off as you do so you see how things connect

heres more documentation from aspire that they e-mailed me:

Fans & Fan Controllers: (black-and-yellow cables)
You need to hook the 2pin Input black-and-yellow Cable(male) from the
Left Fan Controller to the 4pin connector from the Power Supply.(This end
should only have 1 black-and-yellow cable) Then, hook the 2pin Output
black-and-yellow Cable(Female) from the Right Fan Controller(This end
should have 2 different length of black-and-yellow cables) to the 4pin
connector(Male) from one of the 4 fans on Top, Side or Back, then link
each fan together. That should work. Then, hook the 2pin Input
black-and-yellow cable(male) from the Right Fan Controller to the 4pin
output connector(female) from the Power Supply. If you still have
problems, please let me know.

The right Fan Controller controls the fans on Top, Side and Back of the
case(total 4 fans). The left one controls the 2 fans on the front panel.
