Question Any smooth Valentine Day Ideas?

My woman is putting on some pressure to do something super sweet. Just kidding. She's great.

Anyways got any cool ideas besides roses, chocolate, or jewerly?

A nice dinner is a must... Can you suggest anything else?

Or if not what are you doing for your better half?

Maybe suprising her with something before Valentine's day? Feb 13 is a Friday. Of course you have to do/give something for her on the ACTUAL day.

I don't have anyone to give/do stuff for.

edit:
btw I smell a lock coming.

This year I am going to fork over Big Bucks so she can go see the play CATS w/ someone special..the only prob that someone special is me. There had better be some serious Nookie after I have to endure that play...sigh(romantic am I not ).

Why would a valentines day thread get locked...? Honestly, I dont know why?

Whatever you do (as a single person) do not go to a film by yourself! It looks kinda sad and from experience, kinda depressing. At the very least go w/ a buddy. V day is a good day to go out and meet the opposite sex! Wear your Lucky shirt..They sell em on Ebay ya know

Well I always use my computer skills to surprise her. I mean how great is it when she is thankful that you're a geek?

One thing i did for my girl was to search for every song i could find that had her name in the lyrics. Her name is fairly common, but it stilll took many many hours. I then proceeded to make a mix of all these songs and cleverly put them together. All in all, it took me about 40 hours of work. She loved it.

I did several other things that took advantage of my computer skills, but I prefer to keep at least some of them to myslef.

rok: If you can cook... you should definitely make her a candle light dinner. The chicks dig that kinda thing... get's me out of hot water when wifey gets mad at me.

You gotta do the whole chocolate/flowers thing. That's standard equipment now. Not doing that would be like buying a nifty new mobo that came without an AGP slot or SATA support. I know, it's typical... but if you package it creatively, you can't lose. Also, don't tell her you're looking to do something other than jewelry... I said that once to my wife and almost got beheaded!

Wow man last thing we need is for you to be beheaded... so go easy on the comments.

Yea I would love to cook for her, but she won't be at my place. We will both be at my parents... Hopefully they will go out..

2 years ago i took my gf to Paris for 3 days (she did not suspect a thing till we took the tube to the Airport), but this year i have just gotten her a CK watch. We got engaged 2 months back, and i am saving for the wedding at the end of the year now.
I love valentines day, just me and the gf spending some quality time together.

Hope the rest of u have a good time with the person u love.

i could really use some help actually. my girl and I are 300 miles apart. i can't drive out to see her and she can't drive at all.

now i've done about everything i can as far as buying stuff goes. i can't think of anything else to do without having to be there in person (the 3 years we've been together i've never seen her on valentine's day).

i've done certificate to victoria secret like every year. i've done along with that, cheesecakes, flowers, chocolates, stuffed animals. you name it.

i'm stumped. i hate to do something over again cause it makes things generic feeling.

I didn't see jewelry in there! A little advice... despite what you may think or she may say... women NEVER get tired of jewelry.

If she ever tells you Jewelry = boring... then she = lying!

My better half is driving 500 miles to see me. I found out too late, so reservations are impossible. My current plan is to treat her like a woman..... But emericanchao's past victora's secret plan may be a good idea. She did say that she wanted a pink sweater from them.

Jody Loved her Tickets to the Play "CATS". I read her a passage from the TS. Ellitot book "The old Possums Book of Cats"(which the play is based on) "Gus the Theatre Cat" and made her guess what her gift was.

She expected Lingerie, Flowers or chocolates and was happy that it was not the same ol same kinda valentines gift
Being origional always helps(and the Nookie was Good )

Well my g/f worked last night and got off at 11pm. And she works today from 10am to 5pm. So I gave her the gifts last night. Before I left to pick her up, I made my bed (a rarity in itself) and placed the gifts on the bed so when we got back here, she'd be suprised. A plush monkey holding a rose sitting on top of a cd case. She was in dire need of a new cd case. Also there was a heart shaped box with chocolates and a card I carefully chose and fought for at the local wal-mart.

It was funny, I was like yeah, I'm kinda broke, so all I coudl get you was a cd case. She was cool with that. But I wasn't done. Inside the cd case were 2 DVD's. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Dogma. She loves Kevin Smith so now between the 2 of us we have the whole collection.

Anyways, she was really happy and suprised about it. Now today when she gets off of work we are going out to dinner. Fun fun fun! :-)
