2600XP overclocking, HELP

Im new too all of this so could you pro's help me please.
i done weeks and weeks of reading so im now asking. I have set the Multiplier to 14 and I think that’s as far as it goes so im guessing its locked there. I have gone from a 2Ghz to a 2.35Ghz but is there a way that I get more out of it?
I got an after market Heat sink and fan which is doing a great job now keeping around 41degrees maybe lower if I ran it flat out.
Any idea please?

Cheers

Er, this might need to be moved to AMD section, but -

First question - is this a Thoroughbred or Barton 2600+?

Second Question - if it is a Thoroughbred, is it a 266 or 333 MHz FSB?

Last Question - Have you adjusted the FSB at all? You'll get better performance by increasing the FSB instead of the multiplier.

There are many threads here on this, but basic procedure:

- Increase FSB incrementally until memory stability limit reached, lowering multiplier if necessary, then -

- Increase multiplier until system stability limit reached.

- Adjust voltages and repeat to squeeze more out of system.

Please list complete system specs!

Power supply brand, wattage, amperage, rails?

Nice temps btw. You should be fine.... don't worry about cooling.

doing a tad bit of math, its a 333mhz fsb, Its' a thoroughbred, since he said he started at 2ghz which is what the thoroughbreds run at. I suggest you lower your multiplier to 11 and slowly up the fsb until your system becomes unstable, also what memory do you have? if its pc2700 you may need a different divider to keep your memory running smoothly, and last of all if its not a nforce2 mobo, make sure your pci and agp frequencys stay close to what they are supposed to be.

@Tinus

Unless your system crashes frequently, and your temps are fine there is no need to up the vcore.

Tinus, my vcore is at 1.7 right now. Your CPU temps seem fine. Your memory is more likely the reason for the crashes.

Tinus:
My 2600+ is at 1.85V according to the bios, but my monitor sees it at 1.904. My settings are 192 FSB, 12.5 Multi. Mem timings 6-3-3-2T @ 2.6V. My Corsair XMS 3200C2 seems to have a problem with 200FSB and/or higher voltage. I'm thinking of RMA'ing it to corsair, but haven't gotten around to it. My temps are 43C idle, and barely touching 50C after running benchmarks for a couple hours. I have a thermalright slk-700 with a 5500RPM 70mm YS-tech fan.
If your memory can't handle 200FSB, corsair will (should) accept an RMA because the memory is guaranteed to run at said speed. They are also good at setting their SPD default for mem timing at reasonably quick speeds.
BTW, my 2600+ is a Thouroughbred at 333FSB.
