Aquamark #1 :) 9600XT 256Mb @ 621 core / 311 Mem!!

Hello all not been here for a while but I've just got what I think is a pretty good o/c on my new 9600XT!

I've got the core at 608 and the mem running along at 311

This card scared the hell out of me when I first turned my computer on, there nothing on the packaging to indicate it but it's got 3 different coloured led's in the fan on it that seem to generate random disco colour patterns! I thought I blown something up when I saw a mass of light coming out of the thing!

Since then I've looked at the card and you cant see the leds because they are under the belly of the fan, one's blue one's red and green - they seem to be able to create loads of different colours - thank you RGB

Anyway's I digress, 608 on the core - I tried it for a laugh think that's never going to happen but it worked perfectly - now artifacts at all - this thing can fo highter (not even any ram sinks as standard - ant this thing is running in my Shuttle too - Am I very lucky or do all these xt's clock this well?

Here's the Aquamark results - posted for all to see

UPDATE just clocked it a bit Higher to 621 core / 311 mem - Now the #1 9600XT paired with a 2002Mhz Athlon according to Aquamark --- stock cooling & no volt mods!

if you woulda got the 128Mb version you woulda been able to push your mem further, the 256mb stuff is slower than the 128mb stuff.

Very true about the mem - it's default speed is a puny 250Mhz - but having said that 311 is not as far as it will go - I've had no artifacts in 3Dmark2003 with it set to 330 - I just want to add ram sinks before pushing it!

I got the card for about 115ukp - so really it was darn good bargain - even if if it did scare the hell out of me due to those led's!

WOAH! Nice O/C. I can only get my Sapphire to 536/322 with a Zalman ZM80C-HP. I think I got a crap GPU.
