bf 1942


my friend has some problems with his bf 1942 "when loading the program like stops and then the little widows taskbar comes up and it wont go back in" and he has the latest patches, and this is in both dc and in the regular version. any ideas?

disable the anti virus program. or something else runnning isn't playing nice with it.

little window popping up? sounds like zone alarm is asking if you want to allow bf1942 to access the internet. either allow it access or disable ZA completly if this is your problem

It sounds to me like it is a firewall program as well. Find out if he is running any firewall programs and make sure that the following file is allowed full access to the internet by the firewall program!

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe

His drive may be different but that is the normal path to the game executeable file. Just make sure that the firewall is letting that program have full access and everything should work just fine!
