What is folding@home really doing? Is it actually doing scientific calculations that have never be done before so my computer could be making ground breaking progress? Or is it breaking known protiens down so that they can use them to make video's out of our data to teach students with?

Teach California Chemistry Standards in Organic Chemistry while students participate in a worldwide scientific research community to find the cure for diseases like Alzheimer's, Mad Cow ...
Students learn about polymers, molecular modeling, distributed computing, computational methods in science while they participate in real scientific research.

Download a free program (see screen shot above) that will allow the students to observe the results of computer simulations of protein folding in real time.
