Killing a process


If I got into the process manager and select one that has frozen like real player and it ends the application so that it goes away yet the process is still sitting there how can i get rid of it. I select end process and end process tree and yet it doesn't go away. Any kind of manual override I can do?

ill assume you are using XP right? did you get the latest updates? because for me, (i just tried) the end process is the manual overide, the instand i hit end process, the process disappears off the tree.
