Can you beat this 3d2001-any barton on stock cooling?

I went ahead and ran it last week for the first time with most of the settings maxed. I think the card will do a few more memory(3-4) and the core 3-4 more. I have booted into windows at 2.5 gighz, so I know I can get a little bit better score. I am just not sure if it is worth the chance of breaking something. I am at 54 under load at 2475. 52 at 2426. I would probably get a different cooler if I thought I could get more fsb out of my nf7-s. Changing to a mobile barton for 3-400 mghz at best is out of the question, maybe. What do you guys think and what is the absolute best 3d2001 for the stock AMD cooler!!!! I am feeling like I am on top for the stock cooler-prove me wrong. honestly, that's a very good o/c, very nice score too

it's up to you to decide if the mobile would be better, and there is a gamble, if you've been watching the "Mobile 2500 steppings/results" thread, you'll see there are 3 steppings so far(more if you count the dates), the XPEW, XPMW, and MPMW, no guarantee which you'll get,

personally, i'd leave that badass system alone, and wait for 64 baby!

For stock cooling that is ridiculous - good work!

My Thoroughbred 1800+ does 2200 MHz on stock cooling stably, with a 1.45 Vcore - but temperatures get really high (mid 40's), and my 3DM2K1 score is a good two and a half thousand points lower than yours at that speed. That is unreal, and I think it is almost definetely a record score on stock cooling

Well my friend and I have had a lot of computers over the years, but this combination is really tough to beat. It just feels ultra snappy no matter what you are doing. I am having a problem where sometimes on a restart, she will not boot to windows even under stock clock. It always works if I switch the rocker on the power supply and then start, but I hate to have to get out of my recliner..hehe. I have replaced the video card, power supply and to no avail. My next step I guess is to RMA the drives back to Newegg, but I do not want to do that. Any ideas? Could it be the motherboard? Also thanks for the compliment. We will see if anybody can top it...

This might be the Overclock protection kicking in...my first NF7-S and my Asus's all had that...I would have to flip the switch on the PSU and pull the power cord out and let it sit like that for a minute or so before it would boot up when running a high OC...

This was happening when I had my 1700 313 running at 2.3Ghz...anything past 2.3Ghz and the MB thought the CPU was OCed to high...

How did you get the video RAM to 461MHZ? Mine starts overheating anywhere near 365MHZ, but my core can reach 430MHZ+ no problem which is higher than XT's 412MHZ.

It's the system below in my sig. Everything was built about 8 months ago, except the RAM was just switched from 1GB Corsair XMS PC3200. Everything is on stock cooling as well. And my best score is 21201 points. Well it's not a barton. My barton system doesn't have a 9800Pro in there.

Well the controller is on the board and I have used 2 different drivers for the controller(sata). I find it does it at 2500+ and the board is a revision 2.0 if that helps.

SVC compucycle sells them. Only 2 etailers as far as I know....They are considered to be one of the best coolers for a video card. most people see 15-20 on their core. I saw around 23 better on the core. It takes the air out of the case and is nearly silent if you want it to be. (2 settings on a toggle)

That was on old catalyst drivers(3.8 I believe)....I have since upgraded to the 4.2 cats. I am looking at trying for a new set of drives. Hopefully that will cure the problem. I have noticed when I did a low level format, windows would not format 8 mb of the space. Do you guys have any utility that would test out the motherboard? I think I will send in the drives tomorrow anyways.
