ALPHA PAL 8045U and Tbred


Is this heatsink anygood? Can you OC with this setup?

yeah, Alpha makes fine heatsinks. Until Thermalright came along, it was pretty much just Alpha and Swiftech competing for the title of greatest heatsink.

For the most part, there isn't a bad heatsink made by Alpha, Swiftech, or Thermalright (not to be confused with the ever-basstardizing Thermaltake!). But the newer ones are better than the older ones.

get a thermalright, you won't be sorry.
i had the 8045 on my barton, and presently it's on my friend's duron 1.6.
it's a very decent heatsink, but for a modern, overclocked processor it's just not enough. sp-97 is the way to go, worth the extra money

I HAVE IT ON MY XP2100+ @ 2.2GHZ. TEMP 34~42C. I LIKE THIS HS., GOOD COOLING WITH QUIET FANS...
