Just want some general knowledge on momory

which memory is better RDRAM 1066mhz or DDR400 PC3200
and my are RDRAM chips more expensive then DDR chips

the dc ddr will give better bw, the rdram's theoretical bw is 4.2 gig, the dc drr will give a theroetical bw of 6.4 gig. and rdram is still pretty expensive. b4 ddr dc chipsets, rdram was better..

way back in 99 -2000 intel tried to shove it down everyones throat. only prob was it was extremely expensive, and never really caught on except for a few enthusiasts and hi end stuff. It was the first dual channel setup(and had higher bw than single channel ddr). soon as dual channell ddr became a reality intel finally dropped rambus as a memory standard and went back to ddr.
