O/Community meeting in SoCal on Springbreak?

That will be the week after next.

Anyone wanna get together for a overclockers meeting or maybe even lanparty? If so where would we do this? Anyone have a house or backyard big enough or maybe if we pitch in we can rent some space from a overlocker friend.

I have been to many linux LUGs (linux user group) and would like to see the same for the overclocking community, havent yet so far.

I think it would be extremely cool, post here for your thoughts.

Mods please move thread to O/Community forum =)

Don't just ask the mods in the thread, PM them. This makes their job easier and gets your thread moved more quickly.

On-topic: I'm on the East Coast

Well i am in no hurry to get this thread moved, i believe eventually someone capable will stumble upon it and get it moved....

I believe that is actually easier for admins because they dont have to go out of their way through a pm to move the thread, but they would do it on their own free time just through browsing threads.

But if it dosent get moved within a week ill pm an admin.

Anyways, i have a friend in norcal who holds lanparties all the time and has plenty of space and dosent mind, so if a place cant be found in socal then it would be done in norcal.

try posting in the OC community section. A lot of SoCal people are subscribed to this thread.

I'm up for something. I'm located in San Diego / Orange County.

Sounds interesting. I may be able to make it, but most likely not since my Spring Break doesn't start until the week of April 5th.

It was beautiful last week while i didnt even have the time to sleep let alone go outside. It was like 80-85 degrees all week.

Now it's just cold. It's like 65 degrees.

I was actually down in Irvine last weekend, and it was an awsome 80 degrees with a slight breeze. I really miss it, as I can only take so much northern Califonia weather.

Socal is beautiful right now. Sporadic light rain has hit us a few days here and there, but for the most part it's been between 80-90 degrees every day. I live in West L.A./Hollywood, but spend a lot of time in the Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo and Fullerton areas; surfing, drinking, fighting at Fred's and visiting my girlfriend. We should definitely have a LAN party get-together type thing! L.A. or O.C. would I believe be fine for most people. Several people are already willing to organize the shindig, all we need is a low-cost/cheap venue with plenty of space and lots of power hookups. I'll be in San Francisco this weekend and the next, but as soon as I'm back I'll try to put some work into this very cool concept!

well, if not a huge meeting or a lan, a get-together. There is a great restaurant on lacianega avenue, its fairly reasonably priced as well.... its called Norms...

On the corner of la cianega and beverly, right where the beverly center is, but its a bit further down lacianega.

How's a get-together w/lunch over there sound?

Or maybe someone has a big enough house/warehouse/workplace to get a lan going. that would be awesome.

Whos up for idea #1?
