Dell laptop deals

Does anyone know when new deals will start, or what they will be? I'm noticing a lot are ending on the 17th, and a few just ended on the 10th.

I'm trying to buy an Inspiron 5100, obviously I'll wait another week to get a better deal, but if they go into a no deal mode I'll just buy it now while I can atleast get a free hard drive upgrade. If I jumped on it last week I would also be getting a free memory upgrade.

I really wouldn't reccomend a 5100 model, for just a little more, you can get a 8600 system with the same or better specs (plus, the lcd screen is MUCH better)
Or, the 600m model is pretty much the best model we make. You can even check out our Latitude model line of laptops, they are great and are very light.

the 5100 is basically an expensive 1100 and the 1100 models aren't that great

I can attest to this. I am using a 5100 now and for the last year or so. It has been nothing but problems and is not very good in gaming.

Well I don't care about gaming on it. I do care about getting a P4 and a good amount of RAM. Not interested in the mobile P4 or battery life either, an internal wireless card is nice to have though. Any suggestions along that line? Any 10% off coupon codes you want to throw my way would be cool too

I'm lookin to get a laptop within the week.. I mostly want it to be able to keep up on emails for work while Im out on trips. I see that some of them have built in wireless; is that all I will need to be able to go anywhere they have wireless net to use it? (such as some coffee shops, etc..) Or is there something else I need to look into getting?

Thank ya..

OK I'm bumping this back up, I REALLY need to know when/what the new deals are. I've got my order all set up, including a $75 discount code, but since these deals end tomorrow?!?!?! HEEEEELP!

Or maybe Dell would honor me a deal if a new one comes up in the next few days?

I called Dell and they won't tell me what the new deals will be because they don't know. BUT, the new deals start on the 18th, no overlap on the current deals (ending tomorrow the 17th) and they'll only compensate if it's worth more than $30. I am so torn here, what would you guys do?
