anyone stop folding for the summer?

I'm running a water cooled rig and usually the temps are around 42 degrees celsius folding, but today it's starting to get hot and all of the sudden my temps shot up to 58 degrees! I know in a couple months the room temp is going to get even HOTTER so does anyone stop folding over the summer? I think i might or maybe clean out this one and see if i can get the temps down

oh another thing, how do u uninstall the one click folding?

My temps are shooting up, I'm ordering a new SP-97 tonight so I can replace my stock cooling, however during the day I have to turn down the CPU usage to about 30% or else my CPU will go above 60 and then my computer will shut off automatically.

I'm also working on this mod when my new HSF come:http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.p...hreadid=279784

Hopefully that way I can fold all day

I'm not stopping for the summer. I did have throttle down my OC. It was getting unstable and I was losing work units.

I had problems last summer when it got over 30C in my basement, half of that was gromacs instability on a tbred though so I'm hoping this summer will be better. Might have to wind back the o/c a few mhz again though.

folding and stop in the same sentence, mommy what does that mean? "Warning inputed statement does not compute, Internal System Error"
using the words stop and folding in the same sentence has to be a crime.

My computers are like slaves. They work 24/7 all year round. It puzzles me why your watercooling is so high. Is your radiator cooling well? Do you have coolant mixed in with the distilled water? Maybe you might consider another radiator? Good luck and do everything it takes not to stop folding. Good luck

I have a chevette core radiator, one of those pre-made one at D-tek... I think it's working well but when I touch the radiator it's really hot.. I have 2 120mm fans going at it so I'm not really sure why my temps are so high! but again usually it's around 42 or so, any idas?

Thank god for A/C. I just redistributed the computers throughout my house so that my office won't overheat anymore.

/me tries to understand the concept of stopping and fails

No, my home rigs will stay on during the summer. However, I'm going to end up taking a huge hit when all my school borgs shut down (which is the vast majority of my production)

I moved a rig out into the garage last night to lower the heat in my room. Four athlons put out some heat. It wasent too bad during the winter but now that things are heating up (83*f today) and no AC in the house I had to do something. I did buy a small window mount AC unit last yr but I think I will mount it through the garage wall to cool the farm. That garage gets awful hot in the mid summer.

DOES NOT COMPUTE!!! MUST NOT STOP FOLDING!
why do yall get so hot? the ac should do the trick of keeping ambient temps down, and for water cooling thats all that is required...then again if you dont have an ac you are screwed. Might i suggest prometia?!

the radiator is HOT? your setup sounds like mine was.. http://www.maxvla.com/host/water.jpg , but my temps were 42 load under about 140w load, which is much higher than your rig is putting out. my radiator was never even warm. completely cold to the touch.

what pump/tubing size are you using?
