northbridge voltage

I read somewhere that the abit p4 boards have a circuit that keeps their northbridge voltage at 1.49v no matter what the agp voltage is set at. I also read that the asus boards northbridge voltage is identical to what you set the cpu voltage at, therefore allowing them to work better at high fsb speeds.

Can anyone confirm any of this? Because I would like a motherboard with which I can up the nortbridge volts to help my overclocking.

according to hipro5, overclocking maniac of the universe, the asus mb's circuitry is indeed built to increase nb voltage as u increase vcore..as far as i know the abit agp voltage adjustmnt does work. but only to 1.65. im in the process of modding 1 of my ic7's for increased agp-nb voltage. it is not fun, u have to cut a trace and solder in a tiny smd resistor.
