The onions are ahead of us for the day by 130 units.
What's going on?

You don't want me to have another heart attack, do you?

Our production is down, I think a couple of our top ten folders are taking a break. I know the severs being down was tuff on everyone, but we could really use all the help we can get. Every single person on this team makes a difference. That is why we are a team, we are Synergy...
"synergy "- meaning when parts work together SO well, that the "whole" becomes greater than the sum of the parts!

Nutndun is back so I would venture a guess that the difference we see now is going to be gone shortly. The heat in the NE has been oppressive so I had to clock down a couple of my boxes for a few days...as others may have had to do as well.

More power captain!!!! Keep those boxes foldin'

stanman how many systems do you have folding? I couldn't tell from you signature... I am probably reading it wrong but it sounded like 24 computers!

Yea I know, I figured it was about time I paid you guys a visit and see how things where! Just when I thought we were actually catching up to your team you guys/gals bump it in a higher gear and pulled away in a hurry! As you might have seen, MadOnion.com has been in a major battle with AthlonOC to make sure we keep our #6 spot. It was looking pretty bad there for a bit but now it seem like we are matching their production. I'm just happy i'll finally be back up to my old 5 machine folding efforts. I sold off a little p2 350 box I had to a buddy that needed a cheap computer for school a month ago or so but now im replacing it with my first ddr setup! I'm totally looking forward to putting it all together....but don't worry, its only one machine so I don't think our totals will change much overall....hopefully it will just bump me up into the top75 producing folders...

Again, as always....good luck to everyone who is part of the WWW.OVERCLOCKERS.COM folding@home effort!

Now tell me Stanman....does that mean we might be causing you some stomach problems do to stress, or is it from eating to many (mad)onion thats causing the acid indigestion?

I know I'll be back up and folding with (hopefully) 3 boxes when school starts again (for a total of 2.863 GHz folding power). I'll also get my roommate's Duron going for us... (D700@800, he doesnt like to push it all that much esp. with just a chrome orb on it). My friends' P4 1.5 will also be folding under my name again.

By the way, I am still in need of a few parts for my other 2 folders... if anyone has anything laying around.

Thanks! This new setup is a totally departure for me from what I have used before. Not only is it a ddr based instead of sdr, its also an Epox motherboard(never used them before) and its not air cooled. I got a Vapochill case from a friend in need of some money for a good price but the guy moved away before I old get him to help me setup my system so things could be interesting to say the least. I'm thinking I might go and buy a cheaper cpu to try it out on first that way if something goes wrong I don't fry the 1.4ghz Athlon MP I have coming this week. Maybe a 1ghz t-bird would work nicely....that way when im done testing it I could pop that into my main working system which is using a Duron600@1125. Would make a nice, cheap upgrade for that box too!

Since you are already a member of this board, why not head over to the cooling section to get some help or info on how to setup the VapoChill?
