Little help

does anyone know how to fix it so that seti keeps running all the time? yes, i know, set it for data analysis runs always. however, my computer seems to realllly slow down on it when im away from it. either the comp goes into hibernate, or sumtin else is causin a bug in seti. any and all help would be appreciated.

sounds like you are using the graphical client of seti. It is highly recommended you use the command line client that is described in the stickies above. It is easy to set up and works a helluve lot better and faster than the graphical one.

Also make sure that the option to turn the hardisk off in your power management is not selected.

Agreed. Use the CLC version (not as pretty, but way more effecient), and go into your power management settings and change everything except the monitor to "always on".
