hi all, I am in the final phases of my homemade prommie project - I am wondering how best to use my temp probe. I would prefer to touch the probe to the side of the core, but I do not want to risk shorting it. I also know that if I cover the probe with thermal grease i will get a incorrect reading or no reading at all. If I leave that area ungreased I could get condensation.

how should I do this? maybe put it behind the socket on the back of the board? I wish I had diode support but my dfi reads from the socket, which will be covered with grease and neoprene. any suggestions are appreciated. cheers!

I would slip it under the seal string and and make a very good seal there. And I really don't think the dialectric grease will change your readings.
