SATA not recognizing on KV8

okay, putting together a machine at work and it is as follows

Asus KV8
amd 64 3200
gb corsair ddr
160gb seagate sata

My problem is I can't get the windows install to recognize the sata drive. I've tried f6'ing and using asus' drivers and windows recognizes them as corrupt. I've tried the drivers from both the cd and the website. No idea what's going on with this board.

There are 4 sata spots, 2 for raid and 2 fore regular use. I have the onboard raid disabled in the bios and the drive just plugged into the SATA 1 controller.

any ideas?

try the floppy SATA RAID installer from here:
http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdownloa...odel=k8vha+pro

I had a bad floppy with my K8TNEO and this one worked fine.
It has the necessary SATA drivers.
