ideas to chill water, check this out

i think this would work... connect to resorvoir and now u got cold water....

any1 experiment with these or something similar?

It might work, but I dont think the benefits would be worth it. It's only 50W. You could do the same exact thing with a 220W potted peltier and get equal if not better results.

Just my $.02. Feel free to try it though, I'd like to see what results you get.

Also, you got a sweet rig! Post some pictures.

some people have those in insulated box resevoirs, i was considering one that was for sale in the classifieds.... seems to lower temps for a normal system by about 5c, so probably not worth the money and effort

ye you can make your own tho. Get 70w or 880w with big copper cooler and get a power converter. It would chill good enough for less money.

You could do the same thing with a copper bar and a pelt, and it'd work better.

I believe this thing is peltier based. A 50watt peltier will actually make the water warmer rather than cooler.

if you made it correctly squeaky, the peltier wouldn't warm up the water at all. Still though, not worth 100 bucks in my opinion

Any heatload above the qmax of the peltier will result in higher than ambient temperatures, and 50 watts is waaay low.
