Soundblaster live or live 5.1?

If you can afford it, you mind as well get the newest (5.1) since, one day, you might want surround sound for a dolby 5.1 system/speakers.
 
So just as long as i don't have surround speakers i can watch my dvd's on tv. I was wondering about the dobly digital decoding.
 
You're going to run into a problem ... a lot of video card tv-outs (usual s-video) are poor at best... most people, like myself, own two dvds, one for my PC and one for my television. Apex makes a decent DVD player for home use for around $100 (bought mine at Walmart).
