would a mobile 1800+ work in on my k7vta3 8.0 motherboard

AXHM1800FHQ3C
Description Specs
Brand Athlon XP Mobile Voltage 1.55V
Technology 0.13 Max Temp 100C Cache 256kb
Type OPGA Bus Speed 266MHz

its really cheap on ebay and it ends tomaro would it overclock good or near what my duron 1600 is

It will probably clock rather well... but you can't count on it staying at a low price... I've found that most CPU auctions go real low until the last few minutes and then skyrocket... I bet you could get 2.5GHz

That's not a Barton mobile, that's a T-Bred mobile, those don't overclock like new Bartons. You can't hit 2.5 GHz with those, at least not eaasily.

I'm not totally familiar with mobile CPUs, but the stepping intrigues me. Does it end in M for mobile, or should it end in either A or B, as the desktop chips did, denoting Tbred A or B.

At least is definately a Tbred, I suppose, and not a Palomino. Can't do too badly.
