FTP help needed [n00b alert!]

Ok, I have vsFTP setup and running on my linux box (running Fedora Core 1). And using help from this forum (link) I got it to work so that I can view my own FTP w/ gFTP locally (on the same box). However, I can't access that FTP on any other computer on my network! Is vsFTP setup correctly? If it was setup correctly, can only people on my LAN view it? I want this FTP accessible to any computer outside of the LAN.

what is the output of netstat -ltpun? what about nmap 127.0.0.1 and nmap 192.168.0.1 (assuming 192.168.0.1 is your lan address?) also nmap your ip address...

0.0.0.0:21 simply means that it's listening for connection on port 21 from anyone, so that's good... I guess you have a firewall blocking that port then..
