Xp-M recognized as a MP...

i recently (about a month or so ago) bought an 2400-m from newegg and when i put it in, win2kpro and cpu-z recognize it as an MP.....i didn't mod it or anything....i was just wondering why this would happen? also, is this a bad thing, a good thing...or a nonissue?....thanks
