*Takes deep breath*

Did you check the Card Modding Gallery sticky? That's where I found these. Probably more there also.

And it had only been attached to the GPU? Doesn't that put a lot of weight / stress on it?

Cerberus2k7, how did you mount that coolingblock unto the card? Only glue as well?

Just curious, because whenever I get a hold on a coolingblock + fan I want to find out how far I'm able to push my GF2.

Yes only to the gpu,and no it doesnt add bad stress or excessive weight on it.
In fact there was a thread on this a while ago if u wanna read it.

It's quite funny too.

Cool, thanks for the link.

I can be quite paranoid by nature, so I was even worried after applying heatsinks on my GF2 with only some tiny drops of superglue there was a small chance of them tumbling down my case shorting my soundcard in the proces ... heh
I ad the same when I reattached the chipset heatsink on my MoBo, and that is not even straight up-side-down.

Ohwell, all 'bout knowledge / experience I reckon.

Anyway, is it worthed to replace the standard GF2 heatsink/fan combination? I mean, it looks all great and such, but does it help a lot to achieve a higher core overclock?

Those arent my cards. I found those in the Card Modding Gallery on here and figured I would post them to help Lord_Zoltan out.

Honestly it would take the heat issue out of the picture.
So if ur stock cooler is the bottleneck it will get you a higher overclock but if the cooler is doing fine already it would be overkill to do such a mod.

No problem, and I think the ram can be both ontop and on bottom because on the last pic I see heatsinks on the bottom. But I don't know how your friends card is set up. Good luck!
