I wasn't sure where to put this but here goes :D ...

I broke the switch on my "new VGA silencer rev 1.1 :D
And i want to make the fan speed variable by means of an
old Ttake smart fan knob i have lying around spare :D

Does anyone know which is the best way of going about this little mod ? .
i have it running at the moment using the variable knob using the black
and the red wires attached to the knob and it's running fine but
i wanted to do it a little better "More Perminant" at least, by knowing
which wires were for fast speed and which ones were for low speed ext .

"EDIT",
Does anyone know where to get wireing diagrams for variable fan speed controllers and some similar fan controllers ?
Or can offer some advice please ...

Variable speed fan controllers are just variable resistors. As you turn the fan speed down you're just reducing the amount of energy it gets causing it to spin slower. You'd just put it somewhere on the "hot" wire for the Silencer. See the attached diagram for more info.

Well this is how i have it at the moment and i think it seems to work best like this, :D .

I wasnt sure of the third wire because i decided to use the existing wires
from the original switch and attech them to the Ttake fan controller to see
if it would work and it seems to be fine, :D . Any suggestions welcome please ...

"Ps

I hope that the picture makes sence to you guys ;) ...

The yellow wire shown above was attached to the fast - slow switch, This is why i was
confused a little as to whether or not i would need it for making the rpm control
work properly using te Ttake control knob .

I seems fine and i can control the rpm of the fan so im not worried i was
just curious as to if it was needed in any way or if i could make a better control "Switch / Knob" ......
