Is there any way I can get CS to run at 1280x1024?

Just got my monitor back and I can only do 1280x960, so the image is all distorted, and I don't want to manually change the sides and everything just for CS, since I use 1280x1024 for everything else.

Use 1152x864 for the counter-strike mod version, its almost fills the screen. If you have/get the retail version, it can run it at 1280x1024.

1152x864 is a little better, but still not perfect.

Well, there's no option for 1280x1024 for me...

12x10 is distorted, 12x9 isnt. 12x9 is a standard resoloution, 12x10 is out of proportions. Run everything else at 12x9 too.

It is supported in the steam version if I remember correctly.

Steam evens supports the 1680x1050 widescreen on my lappy.

It's not distorted if I have my monitor set for it. I've changed the settings for 1280x1024, not 1280x960, since I prefer it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Half-Life\Settings

try changing the screenheight and width settings in there, mind that they must be set in hexidecimal

There's no option for "Screenheight" or "screenwidth", just EngineModeH and EngineModeW, which I've tried messing with (and they do appear to be the correct ones to change), but if I set 1280 x 1024, it uses 1280 x 960 instead.

Maybe it can't be done with my version...

1024x768 works better, although I may just switch everything to 1280x960 since AC supports it...
