It Has Been Settled...

Well, in an effort to get a lot more folding rigs, I ahve finally decided to get a job rather than bum cash off the folks, etc. It will actually be my first job (16) and I am glad a good portion of the cash will be going to a good cause. Fold on!

Cool. Much better reason than I had for getting my first real job. The kids at school were starting to notice that I only had 2 different pair of pants to wear all week long.

I dunno whether to take this as humor or a tragic family crisis way back when...so I'm not going to touch it with a fifty foot pole,yet...

Hehe I remember those days too. I would rotate the pant colors to see if people wouldnt notice that I only had a couple pairs. I dont think it was necessarily a money crisis as I was a spoiled kid but I dunno I guess there are more important things to me than clothes. Good luck with the job though and you are doing it for a good cause. My first job was to pay for gas which helped
terrorists while also paying insurance and the occasional movie every now and then.

It was easy for me in school. Elephant bell levies and a t-shirt. Thats all everybody wore in my day. At least the guys I hung with. The 70's was a different era for sure. Heck we used to see who could wear the same pair of pants the longest. One guy went a month on the same pair. I think he stood em up in the corner at night. always a clean t-shirt though. that was a must.

As for my first real job, it was bussing tables in a truck stop. I made $1.25 an hr plus 5% of the waitresses tips. Only worked 4 hrs a day 4 days a week so the checks were pretty small. Still it was something to spend. I also worked on Sundays at the local flea market for a guy selling upolstery material. He paid good, $20 a day but we busted our butts for that money. He even paid social security bennies. I get a statement from SS every yr and that $1000 a yr brings back fond memories.

Congrats on the job. It means your a go getter and I'm sure you'll get better and better jobs as time fly's by.

Now adays I look back on it with humor but kids can be pretty mean if they notice something different about you. Of course seeing the violence that happens in school now I count myself fortuanate to have gone through school back then. Good Luck with the new job and I hope you can build some kick @r$e systems.

I think it would be cool if we could pay someone to just go out in the world and borg for us. What a funny idea.

Im trying to borg my school, then some more high schools then the entire school district BUT the problem is that the schools comps are off most of the time (need to save money I guess) as our former superintendent spent all our money like a dumbass and when he realized we were 56 million dollars in debt, he resigned. Might as well try though
