100 discs for $99. Pretty darn cheap IMHO at $1 per disc. I have also read that TDK is good quality. I recently purchased a Plextor 8x 708A DVD recorder and I'm currently putting my home movies onto my hard drive to be burned. I'm playing with Roxio 6 and it's pretty easy to use. Being new to this stuff, I'm finding it pretty fun.

Any ways, these are 4x discs, DVD+R. Am I to assume they will not burn at 8x and also not DVD-R? Is there media that will burn both -R and +R? I know http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ says -R is more compatible but I guess I'll have to see which type my player will support.

Thanks

Some burners can 'force' quality media to burn at higher speeds. You can try it. -R is supposed to be more compatible, but you're right you should see what your player supports. Most new players do both, my friend just got a portable for the van that doesnt do +R
The fun starts when you burn a copy for your family and friends. Oh well dvd players can be found for ~$30-$40.

Hey Verocity,

Sorry to tell you man, but a $1/DVD is way too expensive. Try to find a computer swapmeet, they usually have it there for $0.19/DVD. But then again, the Plextor might not be able to use them. However, a Pioneer A07/107 burns anything that you can throw at it, even morphed disc.

try reading something from them $0.19 dvd's one year from now. good luck. the dyes used in dvd's are of some significance.
