I just put together my first computer system and I bought a new sony DVD+/-R drive when I remembered I still had an older TDK DVD+/-R drive. I was wondering If there was a program that would allow me to burn 2 DVD-R's at once and If so how should I hook them up? Is there anyone else running this setup of 2 DVD-R drives? Is it even possible? Help.......anyone

i know nero can burn to multiple recorders, but don't think it can be done at the same time. never tried.

Well, I've burned 2 CD-Rs AND 1 DVD all at the same time... and at high speed (48x, 32x and 8x for the DVD) !. (CloneCD and Nero was being used).

However, if you intend to do so, you will have to 'learn' how to do it without some programs disrupting the others, for instance : If you *start* a clonecd instance while burning -> crap.... besides, you need to be absolutely sure your system is capable and perfectly tuned, using UDMA mode for all drives, ....

But back to original question

You should have no issue buring 2 copies of the same crap at once, if you can burn one with no issue. Just make sure you set them to burn at the rate of the slowest drive, to avoid issues. (yes I know you can burn at different rates)
