Hey guys, I've built a homemade block, and was wondering if any knew of any sites that would show me a good mounting method. Any ideas on what strength of springs id need etc?

Thanks

I always see 5lbs per spring, 4 springs, 20lbs total. they also always seem to say thats slightly more than the boards reccomend.

but that might be a starting point for you to consider.

Nah, ive read that 7-11kg is the correct mounting pressure for an AMD and something like 32-45 is intel. Im AMD, so 20lbs (or 10kg) is about right.

Hmmm... how would I find out the pressure of each spring easily?

Absolutely what i needed. Thanks neomoses... now to source the springs :) thats the problem with total home brew setups ;) I have to try and find springs that will be correct tension.
