HOw do i start vnc server? NOt the client! I want to start it so i can access that box from another LInux machine. On both linux boxes i only see vnc viewer. I need the client or the server. I have downloaded the server using apt-get but it does not appear anywhere in the K menu. vncserver start gives me this :usage: vncserver [:<number>] [-name <desktop-name>] [-depth <depth>]
[-geometry <width>x<height>]
[-pixelformat rgbNNN|bgrNNN]
<Xvnc-options>...

when i enter vncserver start on the other linux box i get an error message.

some help please:)

vncserver -geometry 1024x768 :1

You can set other resolutions. There are more options.

Just run

man vncserver to see the manual for this program.

this only works on 1 of my 2 linux boxes. The box i want to control gives me an error saying something about libraries. Maybe i have to reinstall it? How do i completely remove it from the system so i can reinstall it?

thanks
