I am currently looking for a sub $60 video card for my cousin. I want some help looking for the best bang for the buck. Should I go with ati or nvidia? I would really appreciate it if you helped me. Thanks

No problem. When it comes tell us how it overclocks and what your benchmark scores go like.

That card set me back about $150 (Visiontek Ti4200 128MB) when it first came out. Great card, and for <$60 . I got it up to ti4400 speeds no sweat (it has 4.0ns ram, i think). Going to ti4600 speeds was another story. All in all, great card.

Yes, that'll be a great performer for $40. I hope your cousin enjoys the card.

Incorrect.

The FX 5200 (even the ultra) is slower than the TI4200 in all situations. Plus its DX9 compatability is negated by the fact that its effectively too slow to run pixel shading at decent framerates.

There's a reason the price keeps dropping lower and lower. Because its a poor buy.

Sad thing is, people will buy it because they see the "256MB"
