First off the mem is ddr so 166x2=333mhz which is the speed for your 2700.

And the random reboots might be you power supply. Just a guess though.

I've heard people say farton and sparkle are good one's. Or thermaltake.

I am using an aspire 500watt from newegg.w/ now problem. but go to the psu section and ask them.

Sorry to bump an old post, but my bro is experiencing random restarts too.

I tried memtest and he got errors with all his sticks of memory, then I tried my memory, and too got errors (but my memory does not get errors on my machine). So I doubt the memory is bad.

Did a new PSU fix it?

I tried a new psu but it was only a thermaltake 420 and it made no difference. i took it back and got a DFI lanparty and its worked perfectly since.

I've had random restarts on Asus boards with my A7V with Athlon 1Ghz. If it got too warm, it would randomly just restart itself. I was having similar problems on an A7V333 and an AthlonXP 1600 (I think it was a 1600, could've been an 1800, can't remember off-hand, didn't have the PC for long) for the same reason.

I got a better HSF for the Athlon 1Ghz, and moved it to a room that's about 5 degrees cooler than this one, and have had no problems with it since, even running it at full load for 24hrs or more.

I've not had such problems with my A7N8X-E Deluxe & Barton 2500 though.

If you are randomly restarting in windows, do the following first.

Control Panel> System > Advanced TAB> Startup and Recovery Settings> and uncheck "Automatically restart" under SYSTEM FAILURE.

After thats done, you need to figure out what's causing the sytem crash, most likly your rig is unstable.

I would run PRIME95 to test for system/memory stability, min. 12 hours at 10 priority.

If its an application causing your crash, check by typing "eventvwr.msc" in the RUN prompt in windows.

Hope this helps.
