A search of the MS Knowledge Base only comes up with Error code 4 being related to bad drivers, which seems to suggest a hardware conflict for 2K on your rig.

What OS are you currently running ? I had a problem (still have !), where I can'T install 98 over ME (98 is more stable, and I only have the upgrade !)

I don'T know if it does anything, cuz I don't have win2k, but hope this helps !
