420ps vs. 530ps o/cing

420ps vs. 530ps o/cing


Just a simple question about if it would make a more stable o/c with a higher watt ps. Thnx. jw.

depends what the amps are rated. but yes, a ps with stronger amperage will provide more stability, which one where you looking at?

530w is not needed, a good 420w is more than enough for your setup.

It depends. If you have a GOOD 420w PSU, then it's more than enough. If you have a generic 420w PSU then a new Fortron/Sparkle 350 PSU should do just fine for your rig.

A very simple, yet fairly accurate, test is to hold your PSU. Is it heavy? If it is, it's prob an OK PSU. If it's light, time to buy a new one.
