ATI MMC 9.0 problems

im using a remote wonder VE and all of the sudden when i start up the computer TV works for about 3 seconds, slows down, then closes with out notice, every time i open it again i get this error:

"The TV player failed to initialize the video

Check the windows device manager to ensure that the correct video driver has been installed and is working properly before atempting to restart TV."

im running dx9.0b with omega 4.4 drivers on system in sig.

anyone else get this problem and know how to fix it?

overlay

I have the same thing. I don't get any tv, just the error message.
I did some research and it might be an overlay problem. I have an old sis video card. Never needed more for what I do. It's not a high priority to me right now, but I need to upgrade the video. Just haven't got around to it.

I read somewhere that either the ATI TV wonder ve or the pro version has been having problems in Windows XP with MMC 9.0. I think there was a patch to fix the problem but I am not sure. I read the article a while back when one of my friend's computers was acting up.

Have you tried getting and older version to see if it still works?
